Overview

  • Drive Time: 2.5 hours (230 km) via A2 → A14 → Ilsenburg.
  • Difficulty: Moderate
  • Hike Stats: 8 km out-and-back, 300 m elevation gain, 3–4 hours.
  • Route:
    1. Park at Ilsetal Hiking Lot (Harz National Park).
    2. Follow the Ilse River upstream through dense forests, passing waterfalls and rocky gorges.
    3. Reach Ilsenburg Waterfall and return via the same path.

  • Highlights: Northern Germany’s highest mountains, wild rivers, waterfalls, dark forests, medieval towns.
How to Carpool
  • Carpool You will be assigned a vehicle. Check your confirmation email for your driver’s details. Let your driver scan your QR code to access your carpool service. Please stay with your driver throughout the trip.
  • Driver Check your confirmation email to assign the passengers. Scan passengers’ QR codes to provide carpool service. You will then get paid in accordance with the Payout Policy
